A special anniversary weekend for Les Thatcher, who as of July 4th has been in the business for 53 years!  Les & Vic celebrate by talking to a good friend of the show, former TNA star Cassidy Riley.  Cassidy is an extremely busy man as you’ll hear, including drawing over 1100 fans for the first show he promoted under his new company, Southern Wrestling Superstars!  We’ll talk about that, fatherhood, Cassidy’s Race for the Ring tournament match at the Legends fanfest in August and why Vince McMahon caused Vic to see a lot of Rey Mysterio in Daniel Bryan.  Have a great weekend~!

You read it right.  Les and Vic are honored to chat with the great Gerry Brisco, who was kind enough to give us some time today to talk about the Mid Atlantic Legends Fanfest in Charlotte from August 1st-4th.  If you’re an indy or aspiring wrestler who wants to make it to WWE, this is a must listen.  Gerry Brisco talks about what he’s looking for on his scouting trips, at indy shows and what he wants to see from you when you send him DVD’s of your matches~!  You’ll also find out what he expects at the training camp that will take place at the Fanfest, a story about traveling the roads with Les and what made his days in the Mid Atlantic territory so special to him.  This is a rare opportunity to hear from someone responsible for scouting talent for WWE, and it’s also great advice.  Once Gerry goes back to work, Les and Vic talk the week that was in WWE and a little Race for the Ring~!

Haven’t done a show like this in a while; a GIANT sized edition of Doc Young’s Wrestling Weekly w/Antonio “The Promise” Thomas, who’s involved in the Race for the Ring Tournament on June 29th.  Les and Vic will talk with Antonio about that and so much more.  There’s some terrific stuff here on Antonio’s career, including his incredibly quick path to WWE, dealing with politics in the company, and then it gets GREAT.  Antonio and Les engage in some wonderful discussion about the intricacies of learning how to work, Antonio’s maturation process between the ropes, learning in Japan, MMA training and how these things have helped him in preparing young talent at his wrestling school in the New England area.  Enjoy the show and a Happy Father’s Day weekend to all you dads~!
