  • Doc Young’s Wrestling Weekly (June 5): Cena vs. Owens, Austin Podcast, Knoxville in June of ’79, more~!

Les and Vic share their thoughts on John Cena vs Kevin Owens from Elimination Chamber, and as much as Vic likes that Kevin Owens won, there was something he wished was different and he explains what that was and why.  We’ll also talk the Austin/Heyman podcast and why Les loved it, as well as jump into the wayback machine to talk the events of June 1979 in the Knoxville territory, as it was a VERY eventful month.  In fact, if you’d like to see the lineups for the biggest shows in the territory which took place on Friday nights, you can see them in our show thread on THE BOARD.  Thanks for listening and have a great weekend~!

  • 5/29 Doc Young’s Wrestling Weekly: ROH/TNA/DA Drama, Chamber Picks, Old School Goodness, more~!

A very newsworthy week where Les and Vic start with the ROH, TNA and Destination America soap opera; how this could be great for ROH and bad for TNA or a potential win win situation for everyone.  We’ll close with our Elimination Chamber predictions for this Sunday with Les’ two cents on the discussion Dave and Bryan had earlier this week about why it seems more talent was turned out in the days of OVW as opposed to the Performance Center to this point.  In between, some fun stuff from the glory days of Mid Atlantic Wrestling!  Vic pulls out some names from days gone by and Les tells some stories only Les can tell.  Thanks for listening and have a great weekend~!

  • August 23 Doc Young’s Wrestling Weekly: McMahons, Bryan, Orton, Wahoo, Flair, WCA wrap up and more~!

Les Thatcher is back at the homestead after another great WCA show, which he and Vic will talk about and run down some of the matches for the October event.  Before that though, its all about the other events of the week.  Specifically, the fallout from the main event angle at Summerslam which appears to be all about the McMahons and less about the wrestlers involved. Vic will tell you why all of a sudden Daniel Bryan reminds him of Jeff Hardy (strange, I know), and along the rest of the show we’ll get into Ric Flair on both the Steve Austin podcast and the now infamous 2k14 event from last weekend.  Thanks for listening and hope you have a great weekend~!

  • July 26 Doc Young’s Wrestling Weekly: Storm’s Summerslam idea, RVD, Where is Kassius Ohno, more~!

Last stop before the Charlotte fanfest, and Les & Vic will tell you how you can see the big events of next weekend on IPPV.  But before we get there, you’ll hear about the unfortunate release of Jesse Sorenson from TNA and the horrendous timing of it, the greatness of Daniel Bryan, and a VERY interesting Summerslam booking idea thrown out on Twitter by Lance Storm.  There’s also interesting takes on the return of RVD to WWE, and speculate as to what’s going on in NXT that has prevented the rise of Kassius Ohno to the main roster.  We hope you enjoy the show and we’ll be back in two weeks!
