    Crowd didn’t know who either of them were but they won the crowd over by the end.

    Huge reaction for Bayley.  She is way over with the crowd.  A lot of Bayley shirts. Eva Marie was hated, except for a small group of guys that chanted “Let’s go Eva” through the whole match. It was pretty funny!

    – Austin Aries defeated Tye Dillinger

    Crowd was 50-50 this match.  Was surprised to see how over Dillinger was.

    – NXT Women’s Champion Asuka defeated Alexa Bliss

    Pretty slow match. Bliss started bleeding in the match and it was either a busted nose or lip.

    – Shinsuke Nakamura defeated Tyler Breeze

    Both were over with the crowd but Nakamura got a huge reaction when he arrived.

    – NXT Tag Team Champions American Alpha defeated Sawyer Fulton and Alexander Wolfe

    Good match. American Alpha got one of the biggest reactions of the night. 

    – NXT Champion Samoa Joe defeated Finn Balor

    Huge reactions for both men.  Best match of the night. After the match, Balor sang karaoke with the crowd and sang “Friends in Low Places”.

  • WWE Rapid City, SD, live results: Primo vs. Cass, Reigns vs. Sheamus

    – Dolph Ziggler vs. Baron Corbin

    Ziggler wins by pinfall after a DDT and a kick to the face. Before the event begins, Baron Corbin cuts a promo on the screen saying he’s going to “give Ziggler a beating like he’s never had before.”

    – Mark Henry & Darren Young vs. Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson

    Anderson pinned Darren Young after the Magic Killer.

    – Kevin Owens cuts a promo on the videoboard, saying AJ Styles sports the worst hair cut, he doesn’t deserve to be in the same ring as him, and if anyone is phenomenal, it’s him. He says he’s going to beat him like you’ve never seen another man beat someone before.

    – Titus O’Neil vs. Fandango

    O’Neil wins by pinfall after a power bomb.

    – Sami Zayn vs. Stardust

    After the bell rings, the crowd bursts out into Sami and Cody chants. Stardust goes a bit ballistic and exits the ring to raise his hands to the crowd asking “What the heck?” Stardust then grabs a chair from under the ring but drops it as he tries to enter from the ref telling him not to bring it in. Zayn and Stardust then jump on the turnbuckles for a cheering contest in which Zayn wins after large amounts of boos for Stardust. As the match goes on, Stardust tries to pin Zayn multiple times. Each time he fails, the crowd puts up two fingers and Stardust shows three to each section. Zayn wins after a jump splash from the turnbuckle by pinfall.

    – Kevin Owens vs. AJ Styles

    Right as the bell rings, Owens leaves the ring and walks around and rips up a fans sign. Styles wins by pinfall after the Phenomenal Forearm.

    – WWE Women’s Champion Charlotte vs. Natalya

    As Natalya goes after Charlotte in the turnbuckle, Charlotte counters and throws Natalya down and then rolled her up with her feet on the ropes to retain the title.

    – Big Cass vs. Primo

    Cass comes out with a mic and states that his partner is out with a head injury, but as long as he’s here, he’ll be doing it for the both of them. He goes on to say that he has one word for anyone who gets in his way. Before he can spell out “Sawft,” Primo attacks him from behind. Cass wins by pinfall and picks up the mic again and continues his speech, including spelling out “Sawft.”

    – IC Champion The Miz (with Maryse) vs. Cesaro

    While Miz is tapping from Cesaro’s submission, the ref is busy arguing with Maryse. Cesaro lets go of the submission to celebrate though no bell is rung. The ref explains and Cesaro starts to complain at Maryse. Then Miz throws Cesaro into the turnbuckle from behind and Cesaro falls. Miz then wins by pinfall.

    – WWE Champion Roman Reigns vs. Sheamus

    Reigns retains the title after a spear.

  • WWE Las Cruces, NM, live results: Dean Ambrose vs. Rusev

    JoJo is the ring announcer.

    – Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks defeat Emma and Lana

    Fun match. Sasha is over. Lana is the last one announced and gets a big pop. Ends when the babyfaces do their submissions at the same time. Emma taps to Sasha.

    – Sin Cara def. Fernando

    Fernando is doing great heel work throughout the match. Sin Cara wins via pinfall.

    – Goldust vs. Viktor

    R Truth is special guest ref for Goldust vs. Viktor. Goldust wins via pinfall. He and R-Truth are friendly afterwards. Comedy match.

    – WWE Tag Team Champions New Day (Big E and Xavier w/trombone) vs. Wyatts (Strowman and Rowan) vs. Big Show / Kane

    Big Show gets the biggest pop of the night. New Day gets a big reaction as well. Only two guys in the ring at once, and anyone can tag anyone. Kane pins Rowan and then Big E rolls up Kane. New Day is exiting when the Wyatts start beating up Kane/Show. New Day comes to the rescue. The New Day and Big Show / Kane all chokeslam the Wyatts at the same time. Then , New Day teach Big Show and Kane how to dance. Really fun match. Every time Kane or Big Show teased a chokeslam it got a huge reaction. Xavier was taking a beating for most of it.

    – Hype Bros. defeat Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas

    Along with the Goldust thing, this definitely got the least reaction. Still, surprisingly hot crowd.

    – U.S. Champion Kalisto defeats Alberto Del Rio via pinfall

    This was easily the hottest match of the night. Both guys are super over here. Crowd was reacting to everything. Del Rio got a huge babyface pop during his entrance, so the rest of the match, he worked devilish heel (tears up a kid’s sign, etc). Outstanding work from Del Rio. I had no idea how good this guy is. Del Rio removes turnbuckle when ref’s back is turned. Then Kalisto runs Del Rio into turnbuckle and hits the Salida del Sol for the pin.

    – Dean Ambrose def. Rusev (w/Lana)

    Lana gets heat by talking about how Las Cruces isn’t a real city, but just a small village in the middle of nowhere. Really funny. Ambrose gets huge pop. Lana gets ejected by ref. after continuing to distract him. Ambrose gets the crap beaten out of him for most of it, then wins with a dirty deeds. Fun match.

  • NXT Orlando, FL, live results: Vaudevillains vs. The Revival

    I’m at the Orlando National Guard Armory for NXT Live in front of approximately 300 people.

    – Nia Jax and Mandy Rose beat Aliyah and Daria

    The faces were able to work over Mandy, but once Nia got involved, her power was just too much. Tree Slam by Nia on Daria for the win.

    – Josh Woods beat Kishan Raftaar

    Kishan kept Josh grounded for most of this one until Woods was able to catch Raftaar with a grapevine ankle lock.

    – In ring interview w/ Mikey Nicholls and Shane Veryzer. They proclaim that they are the best team on the planet and the world.

    – Elias “The Drifter” Samson beat Cezar

    Massive booos for Samson tonight, and he couldn’t even finish his song, drowned out by “You need lessons/your song sucks” chants. There were a few good hope spots by Cezar (including a standing rana), but The Drifter won it with his spinning neck breaker.

    – Tino Sabbatelli beat Angelo Dawkins

    Good showing by both men. Tino was the face tonight and had the crowd on his side. Some great rope running and leapfrogs, and Tino hit a cross body to finish off the sequence. Tino picked up the win with a running power slam.

    – Patrick beat Dan Matha

    Big power moves by Dan early on, throwing Patrick around. Roll through with a bridge for Patrick to score the win.

    – Adrienne Reese beat Peyton Royce

    Fast paced match. Adrienne was flying around the ring, Peyton taunted her flower and by ducking out of the ring. Adrienne used her off the top rope rotating stunner for the win.

    – The Vaudevillains beat The Revival

    Early grappling and mat work. Gotch worked with both Dash and Scott before Aiden tagged in to pick up the pace. Revival used dastardly tactics to take the ref and get the advantage at all turns. Heat segment working over English before Gotch could make the hot tag and run wild. Great sequence with an attempt at the Vauds finish yet Revival pulled Gotch out, some roll up attempts, and finally they hit their Whirling Dervish for the win.

    Dolph wins via pinfall after a superkick. Dolph gets crowd into it right away.

    – Gallows & Anderson def. Mark Henry & Darren Young

    Heels win via pinfall after hitting the Magic Killer.

    – Titus O’Neil def. Fandango

    The crowd got quieter as the match went on. Titus was dominant, and got a big pop coming out.

    – Sami Zayn def. Stardust

    There were lots of “Cody” chants, and many Olé chants. Stardust kicks out of Blue Thunder Bomb, but Sami won via pinfall. Zayn hit the Exploder Suplex to set up the Helluva Kick.

    – Intercontinental Champion The Miz (w/ Maryse) def. Cesaro

    Miz and Maryse cut a promo to start. Cesaro uppercuts Miz into barricade, and big swings Miz. He puts him in the Sharpshooter, but Maryse distracts the ref while Miz taps out. Miz wins via pinfall after hitting the Skull Crushing Finale. After the match, Miz attempts to hit Cesaro with his belt. Cesaro ducks and puts him into the swing again, then hits the Neutralizer.

    – Women’s Champion Charlotte def. Natalya 

    Charlotte won via roll-up with her feet on the ropes. Earlier in the match, Charlotte puts Nattie in the Figure 8, and Nattie put Charlotte in the Sharpshooter. Charlotte attempts back flip on Nattie, but Nattie rallies and power bombs Charlotte.

    – Big Cass def. Diego

    Big Cass wins via pinfall after hitting the East River Crossing. Pre-match Cass cuts promo dissing Diego and threatened to give him a “Bismarck beatdown”. Lots of “How you doin” chants throughout the match.

    – WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns vs. Kevin Owens vs. AJ Styles

    All three got a huge reaction, and more cheers for Reigns than I expected. Reigns and Styles go after KO to start  Roman attempts to suplex AJ off the top rope, KO runs up underneath and powerbombs them both. Lots of near falls. AJ does the Phenomenal Forearm to Roman, KO pulls the ref out of the ring, Roman kicks out of a frog splash from Owens. Roman hits the Superman Punch to knock AJ out of the ring, spears KO to win via pin.

    – No Way Jose vs Murphy

    Crowd loved chanting with Jose and popped for his antics. Match itself was tame, with lots of stalling and wristlocks. Jose won with a half nelson slam.

    – Chris Girard vs Manny Andrade

    Crowd didn’t react at all to their entrances, but got into it as it went along. Manny faked a moonsault from the top, then immediately hit a standing moonsault as Girard tried to roll out of the way for a huge reaction. Manny won with a running double knees to a sitting Girard in the corner.

    – Tye Dillinger vs Austin Aries

    Crowd was hot for both guys, with lots of dueling “Austin Aries/Perfect 10!” chants. They did a lot of mat wrestling, with a bunch of counters. The match was really good, and Austin eventually won with a roaring elbow.

    – Triple Threat NXT Women’s Championship: Alexa Bliss vs Bayley vs Asuka (c)

    This was a change from the online card, as it was supposed to be Bliss vs Asuka and Bayley vs Eva Marie. Pretty standard triple threat match, with one girl out of the ring most the time. Bayley hit Asuka with the Bayley to Belly, but Bliss threw her out, and got caught by the Asuka Lock for the finish.

    – There was an intermission, where Tom Phillips came back out and pronounced the name of the town wrong. There was much booing.

    – Tyler Breeze vs Shinsuke Nakamura

    Before the match, Tyler cut a promo, essentially reminding us of his status as NXT gatekeeper. He’s fought everyone in NXT, and any new faces have to get through him. Cue the Nakamura chants. Nakamura got a huge reaction for everything he did, but the crowd loved both guys. They did pure comedy at first, with Nakamura trying to mock Breeze’s corner pose, and unable to get to the top rope, doing it on the bottom rope instead. Breeze tried to do Nakamura’s entrance pose on the rope, but couldn’t lean back far enough, so Nakamura gave him a hand. Later, Nakamura got a hold of Breeze’s camera and took a selfie. Nakamura kicked out of the Beauty Shot, and Tyler went for a chair. When the ref took it from him, Nakamura threw Breeze with the reverse powerslam and hit the Kinshasha for the win.

    – Alexander Wolfe & Sawyer Fulton vs. NXT Tag Team Champions American Alpha (Chad Gable & Jason Jordan)

    Wolfe and Fulton look like Mad Max characters. They overpowered Gable until he finally got the hot tag to Jordan. Alphas are fun to watch, but the crowd was a bit out of it after the Nakamura match, and Wolfe/Fulton didn’t do much interesting to get us back. American Alpha won with their assisted suplex.

    – NXT Champion Samoa Joe vs. Finn Balor 

    Another split crowd here. Finn got a huge “Bullet Club” chant before the match. The match itself was good, with a lot of their signature stuff being countered by each other. Joe won with the muscle buster.

    After he recovered from the match, Balor had Phillips come back out and apologize for pronouncing “Salina” wrong, doing his best Stone Cold and The Rock impersonations to send Phillips packing, then finished with the “We Are NXT” slogan.
