  • WWE Smackdown spoilers: Dean Ambrose & Roman Reigns vs The Dudleys

    No Mauro Ranallo announcing.  Michael Cole was in his place.

    Kevin Owens makes his way down the ring to do color commentary.

    Lucha Dragons and Ziggler vs Del Rio & Sheamus and Rusev. Barrett watches from ringside. Sheamus kicked Ziggler with interference from Owens.

    Tamina accompanied by Naomi vs Sasha Banks.  Sasha over Tamina via cross face. Short match. After the match Team Bad attacks Sasha, Becky Lynch makes the save. Becky attempted to help Sasha when on the mat but Sasha pushed her away. Sasha and Becky shown backstage, talking about their WrestleMania moment.

    Jericho comes out and says he will give AJ Styles his answer and asks him to come out so he can tell him face to face. Out comes Miz and says he’s tired of Jericho and AJ playing footsies. Miz says Jericho has a match with him. Miz goes for the offense but Jericho blocks and hits miz with the mic on the head.  Jericho beats Miz via walls of Jericho.  Jericho invites Styles come out again, out he comes. Jericho says the answer is No, AJ hits Jericho out of the ring. Jericho comes back to the apron and says that was a stupid move. Gives AJ his rematch at fast lane. By the way AJ’s left eyelid is swollen.

    Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns are shown backstage. Says let’s do our thing in the ring. Ambrose continues to walk and runs into Paul Heyman and mentions Brock Lesnar is here and looking for Ambrose.

    Jo Jo backstage interviewing New Day regarding Sunday on Edge and Christian’s peep show.

    Out comes Natalya. Followed by Charlotte and Ric flair.  Charlotte over Nattie Brie’s music plays and she rushes the ring to attack Charlotte. Charlotte attemps figure  four, Brie blocks it and does the kicks. Got the whole arena chanting yes.

    Truth and Goldust backstage segment

    Wyatt’s come out next, Bray cuts short in ring promo regarding Sunday’s match.

    Wyatts vs Show, Ryback, and Kane at fast lane.

    Ambrose and Reigns vs Dudleys up next.  Crowd is ecstatic for Ambrose.  During the match Lesnar appears and attacks both Reigns and Ambrose. Roman about to super man punch Lesnar but Lesnar pushes Reigns into Ambrose . Lesnar f5s reigns.

    Triple H music plays and stands by the stage with the belt staring at Lesnar.

    Reigns and Ambrose play to the crowd.

    Challenge the dudleys to come back out, they do and baby faces clean them out quick.

  • TNA TV taping results (Bethlehem, PA): Jeff Hardy vs. Tyrus; Mike Bennett romps

    Taped on Thursday, January 7th for the January 19th show on POP TV and for future One Night Only PPVs:

    – Jeff Hardy beat Tyrus via DQ. Jeff called out Matt Hardy and they did an interview talking about Matt’s career vs. title match with EC 3. This ends up with Tyrus challenging Jeff to a match.

    – Knockouts Champion Gail Kim beat Awesome Kong to retain.

    – Beer Money (Bobby Roode & James Storm) beat Eli Drake & Jessie Godderz. Roode & Storm challenged Bram & Eric Young to a rematch (from their match that actually takes place on Friday’s show). Instead, Drake & Godderz issued a challenge.

    – Mike Bennett beat Pepper Parks in a squash match.

    – Kurt Angle is out thanking everyone. Bobby Lashley comes out and said that he wants a rematch from their match last year where Angle beat him. Angle praised Lashley and accepted the match.

    – Ken Anderson beat KOTM Champion Eric Young by DQ when Bram interfered. They beat down Anderson until Roode & Storm ran in. Segment started when Young came out and offered an open challenge for his King of the Mountain title against anyone except Roode or Storm, leading to Anderson coming out.

  • WWE NXT TV taping spoilers: Finn Balor vs. Apollo Crews, #1 contender’s three-way dance

    From Winter Park, FL:

    They opened with two matches taped for a show called WWE Kids. The idea is that Corey Graves announces with two kids and that kids handle the interviews and ring announcing.  One of the ring announcers was Izzy, the Bayley fan who had been featured on TV during her matches the last several months.

    • Big Show beat Heath Slater

    NXT for January 13, 2016:

    William Regal announces a battle royal with the winner getting a shot at Bayley’s championship. Sami Zayn came out, not to enter the battle royal, but to challenge Finn Balor for the NXT title. Samoa Joe came out so this set up Zayn vs. Joe. Baron Corbin then came out and it set up a three-way for the next title shot.

    • Tommaso Ciampa beat Danny Burch
    • Dash & Dawson beat The Ascension
    • Elias Sampson beat Corey Hollis
    • Carmella won the battle royal. Eva Marie stayed outside the ring and they teased she had won, but Carmella was never eliminated and threw her out. Bayley and Carmella celebrated after the match.

    NXT for January 20, 2016:

    • Sami Zayn beat Adam Rose
    • Apollo Crews beat Tye Dillinger.  Crews then issued  challenge to Finn Balor, saying he just wanted a match with him now and  it’s not about the title.
    • Baron Corbin pinned Rich Swann with the End of Days
    • Bayley & Carmella beat Alexa Bliss & Emma.  They celebrate like best friends (which they are in real life)
    • Samoa Joe beat Johnny Gargano

    NXT for January 27, 2016:

    • Chad Gable & Jason Jordan came out with the new name American Alpha. they beat Blake & Murphy with the double team back suplex.
    • Nia Jax beat Liv Morgan.  Nia Jax & Eva Marie are together as a unit.
    • Alex Riley (first match back after knee surgery) beat Bull Dempsey
    • Elias Sampson beat John Skyler
    • #1 contender’s match: Sami Zayn vs. Samoa Joe vs. Baron Corbin saw Zayn put Corbin the sharpshooter and Joe put Corbin in the crossface. Corbin tapped out, but the question was who did he tap out to, which will lead to a Zayn vs. Joe singles match for the shot.

    NXT for 2/3

    • The Vaudevillains beat Mojo Rawley & Zack Ryder
    • Carmella beat Emma
    • Enzo Amore & Big Cass beat ?
    • Asuka beat Santana Garrett

  • TNA TV taping results (Bethlehem, PA): Kurt Angle vs Drew Galloway

    These matches were taped for this coming Tuesday night’s Impact episode as well as for future One Night Only shows:

    – Impact opened with EC 3 out. Jeff Hardy came out and said he was cleared to wrestle and wanted a title match. EC 3 told him he had to start from the bottom.

    – Jeff Hardy beat Shynron. Shynron looked good in the short match, as did Hardy.

    – Jade & Awesome Kong beat Velvet Sky & Madison Rayne in a street fight. All kinds of weapons.  Jade pinned Rayne with a piledriver.

    – Eric Young beat Bobby Roode to win the King Of The Mountain title after hitting a piledriver. Bram and James Storm were both involved interfering. Segment started when Beer Money was in the ring when Young and Bram came out.  Young wanted a shot at the title.

    – Ken Anderson debuted a new interview segment called “Huh.” Matt Hardy, Reby Hardy and Maxel Hardy were the guests.  It seemed to build up Anderson vs. Hardy.

    – Eddie Edwards & Davey Richards & Tigre Uno beat Jessie Godderz & Eli Drake & DJ Zema Ion. Godderz & Drake wouldn’t work with Ion.  Ion superkicked Godderz and Godderz was pinned.

    – Kurt Angle beat Drew Galloway in the main event.  Great match.  The finish was Angle winning clean with the Angle slam off the middle rope.

    – The show ended with Matt Hardy asking for one more title shot and if that if he doesn’t win that title, he will leave TNA forever. This led to the announcement of next week’s main event, which is likely taped tonight, with EC 3 vs. Hardy as a last man standing match, title vs. loser leaves town.

    Not for Impact:

    • Rockstar Spud & Grado beat Mahabili Shera & Aiden O’Shea: This may air on the PPV on Friday in highlight form since Shera and O’Shea broke up as a team and they are wrestling on Friday night live. Either that or they just shot the angle for the people in Bethlehem.
    • Mike Bennett beat Mark Andrews
    • Eric Young beat Chris Melendez
    • Jessie Godderz beat Robbie E
    • Ken Anderson beat Bram
  • Smackdown spoilers 1/5: Dean Ambrose vs Kevin Owens, Charlotte vs Becky Lynch

    Smackdown spoilers from tonight in Laredo for the first show on the USA Network Thursday night:

    The announcing team was Mauro Ranallo, Jerry Lawler and Byron Saxton.

    John Cena came out and issued a challenge to Alberto Del Rio for the U.S. title, coming off the finish of their Raw match last week.  Del Rio refused to give Cena another title match.

    Kalisto pinned Del Rio in a non-title match.  Said to be really good.

    The Miz had a Miz TV segment.  The New Day came out and they started complaining about Chris Jericho.  Dolph Ziggler then came out and was backed up by Goldust, R-Truth and Neville.

    This led to an eight-man tag where Ziggler & Goldust & R-Truth & Neville beat The New Day & Miz.

    Charlotte beat Becky Lynch to retain the Divas title due to outside help from her father.

    Dean Ambrose went to a double count out to retain the IC title in a match with Kevin Owens.

  • WWE Smackdown spoilers 12-15: Dolph Ziggler vs Kevin Owens

    – The show opened with a Roman Reigns interview talking about winning the title on his daughter’s birthday.  He figured his days were numbered in the company.  Sheamus came out and congratulated him on holding the title longer than 5:15.  Sheamus said he’d be winning it back. Sheamus announced there is an internal investigation going on regarding Reigns and he is not allowed in the building.  Reigns told Sheamus to make him leave.  Security guards came out to remove him but he destroyed all of them.

    – U.S. Champion Alberto Del Rio beat Ryback with the armbar. Good match dominated by Del Rio. Ryback makes the comeback and is about to finish him off, but the full League of Nations comes out. Ryback is distracted; Del Rio takes him down and clamps on thearmbar for the win.

    – They did a backstage segment where Tyler Breeze and Summer Rae, the former of which is about to wrestle Titus O’Neil. Goldust walked in, Rae sprayed hair spray in his mouth, and thus, Breeze is feuding with Tyler Breeze.

    – Titus O’Neil beat Tyler Breeze. Goldust was out, sat next to Rae, and distracted Breeze by taking selfies with Breeze’s selfie stick.

    – Backstage, Dean Ambrose did an interview where he said he’s ready to defend the I-C title against Kevin Owens or anyone.

    – Wyatts vignette aired. 

    – Lucha Dragons beat WWE Tag Team Champions The New Day (Xavier Woods & Kofi Kingston) in a non-title match when Kalisto pinned Kingston.mIt is announced later that there will be a rematch next Tuesday, live on Smackdown, for the tag titles.

    – Dolph Ziggler backstage interview, talking about Owens.

    – Becky Lynch beat Brie Bella by submission after Charlotte tripped Brie and Becky locked on an armbar submission. Team BAD were also out at ringside.

    – Backstage, Becky and Charlotte argued about why Charlotte interfered for her. Becky wants to win on her own.

    – Backstage, Owens said he wants his I-C title back.

    – Dolph Ziggler beat Kevin Owens via DQ for throwing him into the ring steps. Ambrose made the save and chased Owens off.  Ambrose then checked on Ziggler, and Ziggler superkicked him.

    Notes:

    – In the dark match segment, the League of Nations ran out to attack Ambrose and Ziggler. The Usos race in and get beaten down. Enter Roman Reigns who runs into to clean house. The other faces recover and the heels retreat.  This was apparently in lieu of the “massive” 6 man tag main event that had been advertised for weeks.

    – WWE will return to the building on May 22nd for Payback. Pre-sale tickets can be had by using ‘Payback’.

    – There was a contract signing for the Kevin Owens vs. Dean Ambrose Intercontinental title match. Owens attacked Ambrose, but Ambrose came back, Owens bailed, and then Ambrose signed the contract.

    – Dolph Ziggler beat Tyler Breeze

    – Becky Lynch beat Paige via submission due to distraction from WWE Divas Champion Charlotte

    – Roman Reigns & Dean Ambrose beat WWE Champion Sheamus & Kevin Owens

  • WWE Raw spoilers: World Heavyweight Title tournament begins

    From reports:

    – HHH came out with the WWE title belt on a table in the ring. He said that Seth Rollins was injured, the title is vacant, and there will be a tournament starting tonight. Roman Reigns came out and vowed to win the tournament.  HHH invited him to join The Authority and take Rollins’ spot. Reigns turns him down, so HHH announces Reigns has to face Big Show in the first round.

    – Tournament Match: Roman Reigns beat Big Show with a spear.  The crowd did everything but pay attention to this match.  It was the crowd getting themselves over here.

    – Tournament Match: WWE Intercontinental Champion Kevin Owens beat Titus O’Neil with the power bomb.

    – Becky Lynch beat Paige with a roll-up. Paige attacks her after the match and lays her out with the PTO on a table.  Big reaction to that.

    – Tournament Match: Dolph Ziggler b Miz with a superkick.

    – Natalya beat Naomi

    – Tournament Match: Cesaro beat Sheamus when Wayne Rooney of Manchester United fame distracted Sheamus.  

    – Tournament Match: Dean Ambrose beat Tyler Breeze with a schoolboy to advance in the tournament.

    – WWE Tag Team Champiosn The New Day beat Neville & The Usos in a six-man.

    – Bray Wyatt did an interview with the Wyatt Family out.  Undertaker & Kane came out to confront them, and cleaned house.

  • WWE Smackdown spoilers 11-3: Kevin Owens vs Dean Ambrose

    There was a skeleton crew at tonight’s Smackdown tapings in Colorado Springs, given the injuries and half the crew on the way to Dublin, Ireland:

    Alberto Del Rio & Zeb Colter opened with a promo.

    Alberto Del Rio beat Neville – Jack Swagger attacked Del Rio after the match.

    Usos beat The Ascension.

    The Wyatt Family won a Survivor Series match in four straight falls over The Prime Time Players & Lucha Dragons.  Young was counted out in the first fall.  Luke Harper pinned  Sin Cara to win the second fall.  Erick Rowan pinned Kalisto to win the third fall.  Bray Wyatt pinned Titus O’Neil when it was four-on-one.

    Ryback beat King Barrett clean with the shell shock.

    Natalya beat Tamina in a fast match.

    Kevin Owens beat Dean Ambrose via DQ.  They used a Lucha Libre finish as Owens sold a low blow that the ref didn’t see, but he sold it so well the ref DQ’d Ambrose for it.  Owens ran away after the match.
